I’ve recently been asked how to best spend your time with new people as they come into Network Marketing. Over the years I have learned:
People who enroll with your company fall into 1 of 4 categories:
CONSUMER
CONNECTOR
BUILDER
LEADER
CONSUMER
These people enroll because they want the best value for the product. They are going to act as great testimonies for your product, but will not be interested in making an income in network marketing.
CONNECTOR
These are the people who know EVERYONE. They are the life of every party. You will need to team up with these individuals to become introduced with their warm network because they are not very good at follow up. These people are not your destination, but rather a doorway. Use their warm market to make introductions so you can expand your own market.
BUILDER
These are people who want to come and build a business right away. They engage by attending events, they are on the zoom calls, etc. They will read every email you send, attend every conference call, and ask you questions so they can succeed.
*Note that a consumer and connector can BECOME a builder when the timing is right*
LEADER
These are few and far between. These are the people who say “with or without you I can do this.” You will find these people in unexpected places but produce BIG results, so it is important to keep talking to people!
Learn to identify these 4 types by discovering their WHY. Then you can meet people where they are at and help them achieve what THEY want to achieve, not what YOU want them to achieve. This will save you a lot of time and energy and give you greater success in your Network Marketing journey.
